ABOUT DARCY

Darcy Creech brings proven integrity and unwavering dedication to public service as an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and active leader in the Blaine County Republican Central Committee. Darcy has proudly represented Precinct 1 in North Blaine County since 2024. She currently serves on the 5B GOP Resolutions Committee as well as in the role of Blaine County State Committeewoman. In her public service, Darcy is known for her thoughtful, relationship-centered approach—taking time to listen carefully to constituents, understand their concerns, and advance solutions that reflect the values and priorities of the community she serves.

A lifelong entrepreneur with a BA from Bowdoin College, Darcy comes to the table with an impressive portfolio of accomplishments. 5 years after selling her engagement ring to buy inventory, Darcy sold her eponymous company to Hat Brands, the largest headwear manufacturer in the U.S.. She then founded Peter Beaton Inc, an iconic Nantucket lifestyle brand, which she led successfully for 25 years before relocating to Idaho. Her career on Nantucket culminated with the purchase and renovation of High Point, a multi-generational legacy property that blends classic Nantucket heritage with modern amenities and a deep respect for place.

Guided by the belief that “we make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give,” Darcy also has a well-established reputation as a humanitarian. She is the founder of Nantucket Wheelers, an innovative wheelchair biking program that reconnects non-ambulatory nursing home residents with the outdoors and the community. She also founded Hydrex Philanthropic, an organization dedicated to expanding access to clean drinking water and sanitation for underserved communities in Africa—work that reflects her enduring commitment to dignity, health, and human flourishing.

Since relocating to Blaine County in 2020, Darcy has invested deeply in the future of the community. She is playing a key role in launching Blaine Classical Academy, a tuition-free public charter school serving grades K–7+, grounded in a classical curriculum that emphasizes academic excellence, virtue, and character formation. She is also actively engaged in community life as a member of Ladies of Liberty, a facilitator of women’s Bible studies, a mentor to young adult women, and a regular volunteer with children through Awana and Vacation Bible School programs.

Darcy is the devoted wife of Scott Marelli and the proud mother of two sons and one grandchild. At home, she cares for an affectionate herd of donkeys, mules, and goats, and a sweet Jack Russell named Hank—companions that reflect her love of animals, land, and a life rooted in stewardship. Whether in entrepreneurship, philanthropy, ministry, or public service, Darcy brings competence, energy, vision, and a deep sense of commitment to every endeavor—seeking always to build relationships, serve her community, and leave things better than she found them.
